The Torah reading for week ending Tevet 21, 5779 is Sh’mot [Exodus] 1:1–6:1 called Sh’mot meaning “Names.” The Haftorah reading is from Isaiah 27:6–28:13, 29:22-23. The writing in Messiah is Acts 7:17-29.
Shabbat: Optional Color theme: CTL T-shirt or Colorful
Torah Service: 10:30 AM-12:00 PM. Nursery available for ages 5 and under.
Oneg/Lunch: 12:00-1:00 PM. The theme is Brunch
Guests are welcome to stay for Oneg. Members and regular attendees, please bring enough food for your family and some to share with our guests. Parents, please be with your children and help with their portions. After Oneg, your dishes will be put on the small table in the foyer and help with clean-up will be appreciated so we can begin our afternoon services on time.
Congregation Midrash (Open to everyone): Jack will lead a deeper discussion about this week’s Parashah (portion).
Women’s Bible Study: We are finishing up Chronicles of Messiah and will be beginning Chronicles of the Apostles very soon!Children 12 and under: Carrie Tarrant is helping with our children.
Nursery Schedule: (Dec 29)–Barb. We need at least one more nursery worker!!

Bible Study Tuesday We are taking a short break during this very busy time of year. See everyone back on Jan. 15th as we continue with Matthew chapter 14.
Praise Team Practice Thursday 7:00 PM: We will work on a dance for “Every Tribe” and our congregational dance is “Hineh Ma Tov.”
Food Outreach: Sunday, Dec 30th with set up @1:30 PM.
The Next Beginning Hebrew session will begin on Jan. 12th [3 PM- 5:30 PM> if you are interested in joining us, please discuss this with Tracy, as there is only room for a couple of new students! Class fee for NEW students is $40 and you will also need to purchase your own copy of the new book.
